The Origin
A Hotel That Looked Nothing Like Its Photos
In the summer of 2021, AVIVIS founder Maximilian Vogt checked into a highly-rated hotel on the Santorini caldera. The photos had shown a sweeping infinity pool and a suite with unobstructed sea views. The reality was a narrow terrace, a shared pool three floors down, and a view partially blocked by a neighbouring building.
The hotel was not dishonest — it had simply used the best possible angles, the most flattering light, and a wide-angle lens. The photos were technically accurate. But they were not the truth.
On the flight home, Maximilian sketched the idea for a platform that would show every space exactly as it is — not as it could be made to look. That sketch became AVIVIS.

The Idea

Vanavision GmbH is incorporated in Vienna. A small team of engineers and travel industry veterans begins building the 3D verification pipeline.

AVIVIS launches in closed beta with 100 verified hotels across Italy, Austria and Greece. Arrival Score™ methodology is published.
Platform Launch

A certified AVIVIS capture team visits the property and documents every publicly accessible space using professional-grade 360° and depth-sensing equipment.
Mesh Processing & QA
Raw capture data is processed into a navigable 3D mesh. Our QA team reviews every space against a 47-point checklist before approval.
Arrival Score™ Calculation
The Arrival Score™ is calculated from spatial accuracy metrics, amenity verification and initial guest feedback data.
Badge Awarded
The property receives the AVIVIS Verified badge and is listed across all relevant category verticals.
Continuous Monitoring
